*Dons flame suit* Pretty soon we’re gonna be tripping over the damn things at every street corner and parking area. They’re as common as Civics here and they clog up the roads with their slowness and they smell bad and you can hear them from a mile away.
Also: some fine municipal landscaping paid for by my tax dollars:
As you can prob ably tell I’m in a wonderful mood today.

Ye’, Defenders in the U.S. in the last decade or so is what happened to the Range Rover within a decade of coming out. Designed for farm use and hosed out at the end of the day, they quickly became transport for Lords, lairds, large land owners, etc... who later wanted more luxury.
The newer Defenders have increased in price massively since they ceased production and started becoming status symbols here.
For the U.S. it's something you briefly got them stopped but saw so many of them around.

Well it’s because they’re so good at being a beach truck, they fit a lot of shit, won’t get stuck, and are pretty simple to fix if needed. Its not like there’s a bunch of H1s around, these are actually useful.

An imported 70 Series Prado is a far better car than an imported OR US-market Defender will ever be . Change my mind.

You would think, t his is when they go back into hibernation - N ow that you don’t need a farm vehicle to get around and can use your road going motor car.

Oh no these cars belong to summer homes. They sleep in the garage during the off-season
